About My Practice
Thank you for visiting our website!
We developed it to provide you with up-to-date information regarding my practice and educate you in some of the functional and cosmetic procedures that are available. My practice is unique in that I focus exclusively on functional and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and upper facial rejuvenation.

I am a native Houstonian and received a great deal of my training in the Texas Medical Center. I attended St. Thomas High School in Houston. I consider myself a Longhorn through and through as I graduated from the University of Texas (UT) in Austin followed by Medical School at the University of Texas Medical School (UTMSH) in the Texas Medical Center.

My internship in Internal Medicine was served at Baylor University in Dallas. Then, I returned to Houston for my residency in General Ophthalmology, which involved diagnosis and surgery in diseases of the eye and surrounding tissues. I focused my energy in the highly specialized field of plastic and reconstructive eye surgery by returning to Dallas for a fellowship.

My first year in practice, I trained with some of the finest specialists in the country. This included Dr. Bob Levine for implantation of facial springs. I completed a certified training course with Dr. Nicanor Isse in Burbank, CA for endoscopic brow lifts and upper facial surgery. I also completed laser training with Dr. Sterling Baker in Oklahoma City, OK who published the original articles on laser surgery of the eyelids and face. Furthermore, I studied with Dr. Steve Mulholland in Toronto who is one of the pioneers of the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser and facial contouring with filler injections.

Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons of Texas, my private practice, is a new state-of-the art facility created with you in mind. I attend several continuing education meetings each year and read several medical journals each month to stay currently advised. After receiving Board Certification in Ophthalmology in 1998, I was accepted as a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons in 1999. As a member of various medical organizations, I participate in continuing medical education through Texas and Houston Ophthalmology Societies, Harris County Medical Society, and The American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meetings. I give lectures in Oculoplastic Surgery annually through University of Texas at Houston Department of Ophthalmology.
